To ensure FleetDirect maintains the highest levels of integrity, quality, and safety for its customers and employees, we have developed a quality management system which embodies our various processes and controls.

Process Controls

• All Vehicles receive general inspections when entering the shop for repairs or service work.
• All vehicles are test driven after any repairs are made - both field and shop repairs.
• Service reports are generated after any service or repair, for management records and customer convenience.
• OEM parts are installed on most repairs.
• Spot checks are made on field service repairs.
• Customer satisfaction surveys are regularly conducted.
• Technicians must go through training and evaluations before going into the field or shop.
• To maximize field service efficiency, parts drivers are used to keep technicians focused and to prevent time lost due to parts chasing.

Environment Controls

• Purchased and put into use an oil filter crusher that extracts 95% of waste oil that helps keep waste oil out of landfills.
  
  
  • Strictly voluntary, no state or fed mandates.
  • This process is very expensive and few shops can afford to do it.
• All Waste oil is collected and safely disposed of by a licensed disposal company keeping the jobsites and landfills free of waste oils.
• EPA approved A/C machines - protects our atmosphere.

Equipment Controls

• MUT Tester - for Mitsubishis.
• Latest computerized scanners "Tech II and OBD-3", ProLink and MUT Tester.
• Standardized service trailers and service trucks.
• Air operated hydraulic jacks for speed and safety.
• Air operated fresh oil pumps for speed and environmental safety.
• Air operated tools and equipment for speed and personal safety.

Safety Controls

• Drug-free work environment.
• Drivers attend a drivers safety class.
• OSHA Inspection.
• Threat management for personal safety-shop/field.
• We provide and encourage the use of the following:
  
  
  • Latex gloves-oil on hands,
  • Ear Protection for noise,
  • Respirators to protect against brake lining dust, and
  • Coveralls or uniforms for body protection.
• Mechanic's helper assist with large heavy jobs.

Technician Controls

    - Requirements for hiring

• 25 years old min. for driving
• 5-10 years experience in truck repair
• Must have full set of tools
• Clean driving record- no DUI, drug, or alcohol problems

    - Training

• Constant factory training for Mitsubishi Fuso
• DOT school taught by DPS
• AC system training
• Brake system training
• Computer diagnostic training
• Driver safety school
• Threat management for security of office and field personnel

Regulatory Controls

• OSHA, work related safety, office and shop/field;
• DOT certifications for all techs;
• EPA and AZ DOQ - waste fluid disposal of oils, antifreeze and fuels with licensed companies;
• City fire department- transportation of oils, solvents, and fuels;
• AZ DOT - storage of oils, solvents, and fuels;
• FED DOT - storage of oils, solvents, fuels;
• EPA, A/C from R-12, R-134A, use of EPA approved machines for AC repair;
• EPA, facility safe, phase 1, clean; and
• Comply with City of Phoenix regulations.

Security Control:

• All personnel trained by Threat Management Inc ("TMI");*
• Shop alarm system w/ system monitor;*
• Oil and tool containers locked and secured; and*
• Expanded metal storage room for equipment storage, forklift, and large tools.*
